Can't believe it's been almost a month since I've done one of these! Where does the time go?!
What a crazy, crazy week. I'm looking forward to (somewhat) of a relaxing weekend... a Pilates Mat teacher training orientation (more on that later... maybe!), getting a haircut, having brunch with one of my mom's best friends who's in town from Miami, going shopping with my dad and my sister, and definitely fitting in a few workouts and some extra sleep in between all the other stuff.
Next week we're jetting off to celebrate my fiancé's birthday (and our new relationship status) and once we're back in town I have a feeling we'll dive headfirst into wedding planning. Posting might be a bit sparse around these parts the next week or so!
But today's Friday, and I wanna talk about favorites. So without further ado, here are mine. (Many thanks to the lovely Heather at Housewife Glamour for hosting today's link-up.)
Essie Bobbing For Baubles. When it comes to regular, non-gel polish, I usually do my own nails. But I treated my hands to a much needed manicure this week, and though I initially loved this polish for its name, the dark, smoky blue-gray shade is awesome on. (It's already chipped and I haven't been able to find it in stores thusfar, so I've ordered a bottle online.)
Mineral Fusion. I discovered this all-natural beauty line at Whole Foods months ago and originally fell in love with their lip crayons. I've been in dire need of new mascara for these past few weeks, so when I was at WF on Wednesday I decided to try Mineral Fusion's Lengthening Mascara (in "Graphite") and Eye Pencil (in "Touch"). I tested them both out that evening for a night out with friends and was super impressed! I will definitely be picking up more from this line.
Frye Pippa Back Zip Short Boots. I used to be all about the riding boots, but this season I have a thing for shorties. My dad offered to treat me to a new pair of boots for the fall and after much consideration, I settled on these. They're so cute and comfortable. I paid full price for my pair (booooo) but I found them on sale for you here (yay!). (These are the boots I was wearing in my engagement photo.)
Kerastase K Spray a Porter Touseled Effect Spray. Wow, I did not intend for this FF to be so beauty-heavy! But I must share this spray with you. Until this week, I'd been using aerosol spray to set my hair after styling it with a rod. I've been opting for soft waves over polished curls recently, and this spray keeps my hair looking good (and smelling amazing) sans stiffness/stickiness. Even after sleeping on it, my waves are still in place the next morning with this spray.
Threads 4 Thought. Last but not least, I want to share a brand I've recently fallen in love with. Their mission is to create great fashion that evokes a lifestyle of shared responsibility for each other & our world. Threads 4 Thought uses sustainable materials to make their apparel, and they also work closely with the IRC and the NRDC. Their stuff is great looking and the prices are amazing. (You may have seen some of their things in Whole Foods.)
Well, I think that's all I've got for today. What are you loving this week? Happy Friday! Have a wonderful weekend.
