These days, the term "writer" can have so many different meanings. When I graduated college and moved to New York City to be a "writer," it was hard to get others to take me seriously. (It still is.) Back then, it was a term that didn't mean much and certainly wasn't associated with gainful employment. But with the surge of technology, editorial websites and blogging, "writing" has taken on a whole new meaning. And while I'm now studying to be a health coach and perhaps, someday, a fitness instructor... I'll always be a writer first. No quotes necessary. :)
