Happy Friday! I had the craziest dream last night. I was stuck in some sort of a bizarre maze house, my dad shrunk my wedding dress (?!) and I couldn't find the right shoes to wear with it. It was so, so strange and reminded me of those "no one came to my birthday party" dreams I would have in the weeks leading up to my birthday. But this is the first time I had a dream like this AFTER the event. It took me a few seconds upon waking to realize that the wedding had already happened and the shoes and dress were (better than) fine.
It was kind of eye-opening to realize that these silly pre-wedding stressors were somehow still on the surface of my subconscious. True, I had a lot of anxiety about how my gown would fit and how my shoes would look, but it's time to move on. This morning, I un-followed all of the wedding and bridal accounts on Instagram I had followed shortly after getting engaged. 10/10 was the perfect day, but I want to live in the moment and focus on what's next! October has been a really big month for me, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the rest of 2015 has in store. A few other things that have been on my mind recently... (Clutch in photo above is old DVF. Perri wore a similar one from Michael Kors, now on sale.)
I'm guessing that by now a lot of you have gotten wind of the Kate Spade & Beyond Yoga collaboration? I'm STOKED. I mean, bows on yoga clothes?! I've been a devotee to the Kate Spade brand since I was 13 (it was my first designer bag, a bat mitzvah gift!). And I've discovered and fallen in love with Beyond Yoga over the past year. If you haven't tried on any of their pieces, you should. The fabric is unlike anything else out there that I've seen. I'm actually wearing this cami and these pants (on sale!) (check out the cute detail at the ankle) as we speak! (More colors/sizes of the pants here.)
Did anyone else tune into Jillian Michaels' new show on Spike, Sweat Inc.? One of the workouts featured on the premier was JumpLife, a cardio-on-a-trampolene studio. How cool!?! I tweeted at them and we ended up chatting... I'm going to try it out this weekend! I'm psyched... and I'll be sure to fill you in next week.
On a separate fitness note - I just saw that Cassey Ho's POP Pilates has now become an IRL class at 24 Hour Fitness - how awesome for her!!! Any 24HF members out there? They offer a number of classes I want to try (Les Mills BODYPUMP) and now I can add one more to the list! I have a guest pass I've been meaning to use...
I've been making more of an effort to get into the kitchen this week now that we're home for awhile. My dad got me this cookbook for Hanukkah last year and I'm excited to finally get around to using it! Check out Erin's site if you haven't...her photography is spectacular.
And speaking of food. Has anyone else tried TOLERANT yet? They make organic, non-GMO, gluten-free "pasta" comprised entirely out of legumes. I made their red lentil penne for dinner last night (with chicken meatballs, spinach and vodka sauce) and waited until after Ben took a bite to break the news. I was a little nervous - I never got into that "zoodle" craze - but we both ended up really enjoying it. A small serving kept me satisfied and full - there are 21 grams of protein per serving! What a great thing to make for picky kiddos, right?!
That's it for me. Linking up with the lovely Heather to share these Friday Favorites. Have a great weekend, pretty people. Mwah. Thanks for reading!!!
