WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY 20: THE ONE WHERE I FORGOT TO TAKE PHOTOS

Happy Wednesday! As I type this, it's early Wednesday morning, dark outside and I'm tired but wide awake. Is it weird that I still write these posts even though I no longer even know who hosts the link up?! Oh well. I could talk about food all day long. I was a little frazzled yesterday and forgot to snap a few photos, but I captured more food than not, so here we go.

(To anyone who's new around these parts: HI! 'What I Ate Wednesday' is a series of posts I write that's dedicated to highlight a day in my life of food. I tend to take stock ((and bad iPhone photos)) of everything I've eaten on Tuesday, and then I'll write/post about it on Wednesday.)

My day started with an at-home iced coffee (Starbucks Unsweetened Iced Coffee Brewed To Personalized - not easy to get in NYC so I buy these WHENEVER I find them) and a bowl of Siggi's plain yogurt and Nature's Path Mesa Sunrise cereal topped in a little bit of honey. BTW, none of these brands are sponsors, but I always share what I like with you, and I love both of those brands. Siggi's makes great seasonal flavors (Pumpkin & Spice + Apple & Spice) and Nature's Path makes my favorite freezer waffles (any of the flavors).

Do a little studying, get dressed, ran out to a meeting, came back home, more iced coffee.

Ran to another meeting and then LUNCH! I was so busy catching up with a girlfriend that I forgot to snap a photo of my salad. Blogger fail!

So here's a stock photo of a Whole Foods from Wikipedia. My make-your-own-salad had baby spinach, butternut squash, beets, roasted turkey and a little cheddar. Yum!

After lunch, it was time to head across town to Girls on the Run!

This is my new snack obsession, and was the perfect thing to keep me going through an afternoon of screaming nine-year olds. I love protein bars but I tend to only eat half at a time, which means for awhile I had half-eaten bars rolling around the bottom of my bag. These thinkThin Protein Nut Bites are so delicious and perfect for when I want just a few bites of something. (I found them at Bed Bath and Beyond, of all places!) 

I also had a banana at practice, but I don't keep my phone on me so no photo.

After GOTR it was time to head to the gym for my own workout. Back at home, I had some honey wheat pretzels before starting on dinner.

Dinner was from Plated, and it was good but SPICY.

Chicken with veggies, chickpeas, and naan. The veggies were coated in a mixture that included harissa, which must've give it its kick. I don't think I'd ever had that before.

After dinner we watched our Tuesday night shows and I had a glass of milk with half of a Snickerdoodle Complete Cookie. (I apologize for the lack of photo. Womp womp.) Who else is watching Scream Queens?! I'm not sure how they're going to stretch it to a second season but I can't wait to see what happens next week (2 hour season finale).
