First and foremost, thank you to everyone who reached out to me on Mother's Day to let me know they were thinking of me. Much, much appreciated.

It's been a really strange and overwhelming few weeks, but here are a few things that I think are worth jotting down...

MAD MEN. It's hard to say I'm looking forward to the series finale, because I don't want to it to be over. But I do want to see how it all ends. Have you seen the trailer? I teared up the first time I saw it - that song ("Times of Your Life" by Paul Anka) always reminds me of my mom. The penultimate episode was incredibly difficult to watch, but I loved reading the "Mad Style" analyzations of all the fashion. Heartstrings = tugged. (Sally Draper you are my EVERYTHING and I sure hope there's a spinoff with your name on it.)

MINI FRAPPUCCINOS. I haven't had a frappuccino in years. The last time I really wanted one was after my half marathon in June 2013. For some reason we didn't get to a Starbucks until the day after the race, and after a long walk on very sore legs, we were shocked to see that the location had closed at 2pm. (It was 2:30.) Needless to say (and much to Ben's horror) I threw an absolute fit in the middle of the sidewalk. I never got my frap, so I'm pretty excited about the limited run of mini frappuccinos.  And if I ever run a half marathon again, I am planning my post-race meal WAY more meticulously than last time.

PILATES MAT. You don't have to spend big bucks on the reformer to get a Pilates body. Check out why mat Pilates is still a killer workout and how to get results at home with the magic circle.

Luxe-smelling rosewater body wash that won't break the bank. (Serious bang for your buck.)

All-natural undereye concealer for $5.99 that actually works. (I found mine at Whole Foods.)

Powder foundation with awesome buildable coverage. I HATE the brush I originally bought to use with this (short, tight bristles with a slightly rounded top) but now that I've switched tools (longer bristles with a little more movement and a flat top) I see it in a whole new light. It really does give a beautiful, airbrush-like finish. (I also picked up this Park Ave Princess Contour Palette and this Bronze and Glow Contour Brush to use with it. Will report back!)

Happy almost-weekend! Anyone else doing the AIDS Walk in NYC?
