It's about that time again! I had so much fun writing last week's that I decided to do this again. Hopefully you're nosy like me and enjoy reading these as well.

So a quick intro to those of you who might be new to the blog/not totally familiar with "What I Ate Wednesday": I chronicle a day of eats (so what you read about below is what I ate yesterday/Tuesday) and link up with other health/fitness/lifestyle/whathaveyou bloggers around the 'net. I really dig these posts because I think they're great for healthy eating inspiration.

7 a.m.: Hydrate. It would've been the perfect morning to start the whole "drink warm water with lemon when you wake up" thing, because I woke up with a chill in my bones that was hard to shake. It's June 2 and 53 degrees out. Riddle me that. I pondered getting hot coffee but couldn't go through with it, so my normal-ish order it was. Tall cold brew iced coffee from Starbucks with So Delicious Dairy Free French Vanilla Coconut Milk Creamer. And water, of course. (The groovy water bottle is from my dad, purchased at Starbucks. Love it.)

9 a.m.: Breakfast. I'm still not eating most bread products, but I did enjoy a bowl of this Nature's Path Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise cereal with fresh blueberries and unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

11 a.m.: Mid-morning snack. Usually I enjoy a banana mid-morning. However, since my breakfast wasn't overflowing with protein and I wasn't really in the mood for cottage cheese, I grabbed a Skinnygirl Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Nutrition Bar.

1 p.m.: Lunch. This has been my favorite lunch lately: two Organic Valley eggs scrambled with Applegate Farms Genoa salami, Garden of Eatin' Butternut Squash Corn Tortilla Chips with Sabra hummus and organic strawberries. It's a filling, hearty meal and a great combo of savory, salty and sweet. I used to always add cheese to my eggs but this plate is so flavorful I don't even miss it. (Things I never thought I'd say.)

2 p.m.: Sweet. There was one last piece of dark chocolate sea salt English toffee and I was craving a little something sweet, so I went for it. Also, that's the corner of my Catstudio pillow. I had wanted one for YEARS and my best friend surprised me with it a few weeks ago. I was so happy I almost cried. When my dad saw it, he told me that my mom had always wanted one of them, too. That made me love it even more. (Mine is "MIAMI" but they have tons of different cities and states. My fiancé and I fight over who gets to sit with it because it's so fluffy and comfortable. I think I need to buy him the "NEW YORK" one...)

4:30 p.m.: Afternoon snack. I ended up saving my workout for the evening so I wanted a punch of protein beforehand. This mini smoothie of frozen banana, peanut butterunsweetened vanilla almond milk, ground flax seed and a dash of coconut sugar did the trick. I did Day 2 of STTC and it was killer. My abs were on FIRE. Side note: flutter kicks are not my friend.

7:30 p.m.: Dinner. I spaced a little and didn't start thinking about dinner until around 7. Oops! Thank goodness for fridge and freezer staples. I threw this meal together quickly, but it was still pretty tasty: organic greens and baby spinach with carrots, pepitas, dried cranberries and light honey mustard dressing and Trader Joe's turkey meatballs in a locally made vodka sauce. I'm still staying away from cheese for the most part but no way was I having meatballs sans spaghetti without a little bit of fresh Parmesan!

I ended the day with a little reading, a little TV (I watched the first half of Extreme Weight Loss and can't wait to catch up on the rest via DVR) and I got into bed around 10, No dessert last night. I know; I can't believe it either.
